We are a licensed transporter for big game hunts. Our trips are designed to offer experienced hunters access to remote areas for your DIY hunt. Kodiak and the surrounding islands are home to Sitka blacktail, Kodiak brown bear, mountain goat, caribou, Roosevelt elk, fox, and a wide range of waterfowl.
All hunts are self guided; you must decide where to hunt, what to hunt, and when. You will need to secure all the proper permits, tags, and licenses.
We’ll transport you and your gear to your hunting location, drop you off on the beach and either await your call for a pickup or pick you up at a prearranged date and time. Please review State of Alaska’s Rules for licensed big game transporters below.
Transport Details
Our Boat:
The Moonlight is a 43 foot Delta charter boat and is a US Coast Guard inspected vessel. It has a cozy cabin with ample seating both inside and outside. There is a full bathroom on board for your convenience.
What’s included:
Transportation from St. Paul Harbor in Kodiak to your selected hunting area
Drinks (water, coffee, tea, soda)
Inflatable skiff
What’s not included:
All hunting licenses and tags
All fishing licenses and King Salmon stamp
Any required land permits
Alcoholic beverages
Hunting gear (firearms and ammunition)
Processing of game or fish
Rates:
We charged based on mile traveled so we’ll put together a custom quote for each trip depending on mileage from Kodiak Harbor.

State of Alaska’s Rules for Licensed Big Game Transporters:
Our services are for transportation and lodging only, we do not provide guide services
Clients are responsible for salvage of the meat during the hunt and after the hunt, unless the meat is legally transferred to a third party.
A licensed transporter may not accompany or remain in the field with a big game hunter who is a client of the transporter except as necessary to perform transportation services.
A licensed transporter may not provide vehicles, fuel, camping, hunting or big game processing equipment, or any hunting services such as skinning, caping, or cleaning game, glassing, and packing in the field, including from on a boat
Cancellation Policy:
All hunting transport charter bookings can be canceled and fully refunded up to 60 days prior to charter date.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the charter date. Credit will not be offered for a future trip. No shows will not be refunded.
If the trip is cancelled by the operator due to weather or other factors, clients may choose to reschedule for a later date or opt to receive a full refund.
