Kodiak Marine Charters was born in 2019 from a dream to share our love for the ocean and fishing with families and friends of fishermen, nature lovers, and hunters offering an avenue to enjoy the pristine wilderness of Kodiak through fishing charters, sightseeing trips, and transportation hunts.
Brothers Lukas and Fritz own and operate Moonlight and Daybreak.
Meet Our Crew
Captain Lukas Bercy
Lukas came to Kodiak in 2015 and never left. He’s chartered, commercial fished and holds a 100 ton master’s license. An avid outdoorsman and hunter, he’s passionate about sharing his love for nature and the ocean with you and your family and friends.
Lukas and Tasnah were married in 2018 joining passions and talents to create Kodiak Marine Charters!
Captain Fritz Bercy
Fritz started his journey to Kodiak as a deckhand with his brother, Lukas. He fell in love with this island and fishing and got his captain’s license in 2024. After a season captaining in Larsen Bay, Fritz and Lukas purchased the Daybreak, expanding the fleet. Their partnership has since strengthened their commitment to providing exceptional fishing experiences.
Mi-Hye Platt
Our deckhand, Mi-Hye, brings a lively spirit and genuine care to every fishing trip. With a deep love for the ocean, she’s always ready to lend a helping hand and ensure everyone aboard has a safe and enjoyable experience and catches lots of fish!
Eritin Learey
Eritin is at home on the water and loves to fish, sharing the joy and passion with all who come on board. Easy going, fun, and hardworking, he helps make every day out on the water a memorable one!
Our Boats
Moonlight and Daybreak are a 43’ Delta Coast Guard Inspected vessels.
The Moonlight has a capacity for 18 passengers and 2 crew. However, we typically limit our fishing and sightseeing trips to 8 clients. The Daybreak has a capacity for 6 passengers and 2 crew.
Both vessels have a cozy cabin with ample seating both inside and outside. Walk around decks allows for ample fishing space and great views! There is a full bathroom on board for your convenience.
