First time ever ocean fishing!

It was my daughter and my first time ever ocean fishing. Lukas and Fritz were fabulous at teaching us the ropes and talking us through a successful catch all day long! The boat is super comfortable. Lukas put us in the best spots for us to catch our limit for the boat efficiently. We had such a great time and our boat had great people on it making the experience fun. I would definitely go out again with Lukas and Fritz (they even taught us how to filet one of our fish to take home and cook.

We’ll be back!

We fished with Lucas and Mi-Hye for 3 days on the “Moonlight” (what a great boat) and it was absolutely awesome. Lucas got us on the fish while Mi-Hye was keeping busy setting up rods. Quite the team those two.

We caught King, Silver and Pink Salmon, Halibut Lingcod and Rockfish. We will definitely be back!!!!

Limited out both days

We fished aboard the Moonlight one full day and another half day, the entire time on the boat was great! Lukas was constantly working at putting us on fish and deckhand Mi-Hye was on top of bait and assisting us at all times. Our group limited out both days! We are planning on getting another trip on the books !

Excellent experience

This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Kodiak. Luke and his crew and staff were so nice and accommodating. They were invested in ensuring we got to go out, catch some Halibut and have an awesome experience. Would highly recommend. Came home with a full cooler! He knew where to find fish and kept the charter moving so we never got board.

Exceeded our expectations!

We cannot say enough good about our experience with Kodiak Marine Charters! Our Captain Lukas and his brother Fritz made a phenomenal team. They catered so well to our needs and were so great with the kids! We caught an amazing array of fish; everything from lingcod, pacific cod, halibut, and some other fun things as well. One of the additional highlights was watching a whale come right up to our boat and breach along with Dahl porpoises racing our boat as we traveled back. Overall, the day met and completely exceeded our expectations! Thanks again to Lukas, Fritz and family. We hope to be back soon!
